1st place
Bobby being Bobby.... by nanadoo

Ramad: Congrats on winning the contest Rita.

trixxie17: Looks like he just discovered a mouse and is about to pounce - lovely image Rita and good for either contest or challenge.

Ramad: Such a cute cat! That is not a playful expression but a serious look of a thinker! Nice capture.

2nd place
Shadows in the Louvre by gr8fulted

susanlynn: You've captured some wonderful shadows in this image and the b&w treatment is wonderful.

Nikoneer: Two for the price of one! The subtle shadows of what I assume is the pyramid (which means this is a late afternoon photo, since the pyramid is west of the museum) have a completely different character than the shadows and lines of the museum interior, allowing each to stand out from the other. I'm usually a judge and, after seeing the entries so far, I feel this one should place fairly high. Beautiful in black & white, so much more expressive than if it was in color. Great job and good luck with it.

4th place
Marital Contemplation by corngrowth

susanlynn: Lovely image of the water with its reflections of the trees and dock and the two people add that human touch. A fine entry, Mr. C. Good Luck.

GIGIBL: Wow excellent shot Cornelius good luck in the challenge.

5th place
THE WRECK by nuke88

LynEve: Congratulations on your contest placement Eugene.
This artwork really sends shivers up the spine !

jerseygurl: Congrats Eugene on your 5th place win in the contest!!!:-):-):-)!!!

susanlynn: A marvelous painting Eugene. The water coming over the little falls just to right of the shipwreck looks so real and the moon adds to the mysterious and sad circumstances of the scene. A great piece of art. Good luck in the contest.
