2nd place
Winterberry in Ice by Akeraios

0930_23: Congrats on your 2nd place finish in the contest Hannah.

casechaser: In one of my previous lives, I was a food broker and Northland Cranberries was one of my clients. They would spray water on their cranberries before a drop in temperatures and a frost was on the way. They would send out the signal and people would rush out to the fields to perform this task. And, by en-capsulizing the berries with water, The icy covering became a guarding frozen shell surrounding the berries and thus they saved their fields. Your picture, so well done, has brought back that memory of the cranberry fields of Wisconsin in the winter.
