(Main) abstract
I like creating 3D-like violent explosions in space as you can tell if you look at my gallery. This one uses a bunch of 3ds Max renders and a lot of brush work. It has only 14 layers in the original Psd file. I visualize it as an alien space vehicle that has met a bad end.

WOW. This is so freeky because i have just finnished watching the DVD series of Odessy 5 which had Senchient beings in it that looked just like this. Otherwise known as living bits of computer code that were sent to destroy the world. This is a great picture and it looks awsome as a desktop. Good Job my friend

The colours in this are - for me - the main attraction...excellent combination! :]
I like the detail in the background on the left and the lightning helps to convey that sense of fury, too - which I also lurve ;]

No, I usually build up an image layer by layer. Sometimes I do switch layers around a bit to adjust effects and whats in front of what.

You're both wrong. It's a space plant that has just been exploded in a last desperate attempt to save the universe from it's voracious appetite for planets, food and light. Just about to release it's pods, it looks as though the team may have made it in the nick of time. The question now is whether the plant managed to release any pods and, if so, whether the team can find and destroy them before they take root. It's not known what it takes to kill the thing. Blackened and shredded it may be, but it has seen worse before. This time a team of watchers will observe it for a time... they will observe all of it, all the little bits... or so they think...
