In the past I have visited some butterfly farm greenhouses, but I was never able to capture this beauty. The reason? They always fly and never sit still. To my suprise I saw this one out in the open at a zoo on Gran Canaria and what's more, it was enjoying it's fruit break. Incredible,so I made this shot. I must admit right away that I did not have the proper lens on my camera, and therefore I had to sharpen this one considerably on the PC. Still I think it's worth a post, so enjoy your fruit!

Beautiful butterfly and the contrast with pale yellow/orangish fruit is great. I also love to photograph butterflies...that is when I can catch them still! lol.....well done again. Thanks ;~)
