This is by far my most favorite picture I've seen of yours! I love everything about it...the angle, the view, the little girl...this one is going into my favorites! This is an example of creativity at its finest.

Marvelous ! the front part of the image is so quiet, and then the crowded part of this huge city in the abyss.

That is one awesome photo. It's actually a bit frightening too, considering that little one is sitting by the window looking out over a huge huge city like that from up high. But its an amazing photo too...good thing the window is sealed shut...wow..It's truly an "asphalt jungle" out there isn't it??!! I got this photo in the VB....Great shot..Verena

I love this. Such a contrast between the big busy, cluttered city and the uncomplicated innocence of the child peering out the window at what must appear somewhat of an alien image to her. Well captured image with much thought put into the subject matter. Nicely captured too.

I really enjoy your image here.

It is a great 'candid' photo and an endearing one at that, that captures some very heartfelt emotions that resound within 'us'. Me for sure. :o)

I did download your image here some time back and did play around with some adjustments in Photoshop. Notably, and this is no slight against your visual offering here ... I heartily suggest taking a look at Phil's; aka philcuk tutorial Faking the HDR thing.

Combined with some further adjustments of Levels (Adjustment Layer in particular is a good route to take ... don't like the results? simply delete the layer ... no photographic data lost or compromised) ... at least in my humble opinion ... added some additional depth and delineation of the city, as well as, brought out some more detail of the window sill and that of your daughter.

The Levels work assisted in making some of the colour accents of the roofs, etc. ... and again, those contained in the sill and those of your daughter's clothing/hair et al ... 'pop' a bit more.

That said ... my apologies for not having wished you well at the outset of the contest. As it turns out ... you received the recognition you deserved, so, congratulations ... instead of best wishes ... on your 'honorable mention'.

Nice work behind the lens. :o)

My above words are simply some food for thought for next time.
