A view of the St.Louis Arch from the Illinois side in East St.Louis.The Arch reflects St.Louis as the Gateway To The West.We are celebrating Louis&Clarks Bicenntenial journey this year of 2004.They started close to here to discover the vast continent that we had aquired from France in the Louisiana Purchase.

This is one of the clearest and well framed shots of the Arch I've seen. Sounds like it's going to be quite a tourist area this year.

this image went in to my favorts because i use to live around st.louis my self. i worked in jefferson city and lived in a small town called readsville just off hwy 70, traveled all over the area and been in ill. as well.you may know some of the area. fulton,williamsburg. and ive been in the top of the arch and under it as well. i no longer live in the area but i still have pic's of the area. i thank you for this one.my family and i would take trips along 94 in the fall. it is a beautful drive.
