Bantam ocean

sea glass
soft, translucent, blue
edges softened by the ocean
mermaids tears
slip to the ocean floor
and wait to be found.

a girl must leave her ocean
so she takes a tiny bottle
of clear green windowglass
and fills it with the sea
caps the bottle with seahhsells
and gingerly puts it in her pocket

the bottle sits on a window pane
sunlight slips through the bantam ocean
and plays a rainbow along the wall
a rainbow of green and blue

the bottle falls off the window pane
and shatters across the floor

Victoria Pinheiro

Oh my Lauren, you have certainly outdone yourself on this angel. It is so beautiful! I love the way you created a 'ribbon' effect and made the liness gently furl on the computer screen! The colors you chose work so well here. They are soothing and gentle, just like the image. This baby is getting saved right to my hard drive and in my favorites folder so I can run it in my screensaver program. I will think of you and gentle breezes every time I see it on my computer screen. Good job ....again!!!! Thank you :~)

This is beautiful. I keep running into your wonderful fractals. I was just thinking today how little I know about fractal artwork. When I go into the voting booth this thought always nags me because I never know if I am giving fair marks to this type of art. I know what looks nice, but details like degree difficulty ect. are hard to judge because I know nothing about the programs. I will try to explore it a little more and perhaps throw a few questions your way sometime (if you don't mind). I know a lot of photographers (which make up the largest portion of Caedes) know nothing of digital art. I do digital manipulation and I see low C-Indexs all the time because people have lack of exposure to computer related art. It's frustrating, but I guess you can't judge a picture by it's C-Index cover. Thanx for sharing your wonderful work. Cheers.............................LPF

Ebbs and flows with such epic gracefulness. The title is perfect as it references a beautiful yet meloncholly theme just like the image. And the sea faring aspect is obvious. Another terrific design.
I don't know how these fractals are created either, but I enjoy abstract art I know what I like... and I like your work.
(I just noticed I'd already commented on this wonderful design once before...so be it, it deserves a second helping of praise.)

But I don't remember this one: must've missed it somehow. I really like the texture here: almost like a metallic fabric. And very wavey: I can see where you got the title.
