This youngster has not yet developed his yellow crown and mask. He also has allowed me to move in very close and capture some pretty decent shots...{ Thanks lil guy}! { and God!} :)

Just an excellent shot Terri with the water dripping from its beak. Perfect timing!.Looks as though it has it's eye on something else at the moment to notice you. Perhaps a big juicy fish?. This one is going right into my favs. Thanks girl :)

This is outstanding Teri. I love everything about it - the beautiful blue, the rather lonely looking little bird and the perfect composition.Added to that a lovely refection. AND lots of room for icons lol

Great shot Terri, I love the clarity and position of the bird. The water splash adds a bit of life as well. Nicely captured!

It's scary when you can go to new images and pick out which ones belong to whom. I could tell this was a madmaven shot from the thumbnail and he's an absolute beauty! There is just enough infomration (with the heron and the rocks) to make this such a lovely composition and the clarity is terrific.

You got a beauty here Terri. Genius composition in placing the bird where it is. The ripple ring from the water dropping from the beak just outstanding ... a little "lucky" there but doesn't "luck" often play a part in photography? You can be proud of this one gal.

Kudos, Terri. This shot is not as easy as it looks. These birds spook easily and most of the time you have to shoot them with a telephoto lens. This is an exceptional capture!!l

You can't get any cle3arer capture of a bird than this. I have read in photography mags that when photographing animals, you must capture the eye clearly. The rest of the animal can be a little out of focus, but not the eye. The soul of the animal is seen in it's eyes and you have done well. The rest of the bird is in perfect focus, so all the better. Very well done.

Another fine presentation Terri! I like how you have the bird off to the right some leaving plenty of space for desktop icons and an open view of the serene water as well.
