My wife found a gallon planter of these at the local garden store. I'd never seen them with a purple ring inside. Took this with my new Fuji A340. Best gift I ever got!
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts." Bertrand Russell
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
This would be an excellent flower picture except for the serious lack of contrast. This can be easily fixed in PhotoImpact or PhotoShop or Gimp...you name it. You need to adjust the levels and/or in Photoshop CS or higher you can mess with the Highlight/Shadow contrast tool. You'll be amazed at how you can make this image pop.
You took an absolutely lovely picture. I love all of the color, and how crystal clear the image is. I just wish I could have seen the very bottom of the lovely daisy. I think the blurring in the background is a perfect example of how clear the picture really is, and it gives it a sense of reality. Not too fake :).
Richard - This flower is Osteospermum 'Lemon Symphony'. It also comes in orange and several other colors. Tolerates sun and water, but not extensive heat. It is very pretty when set with flowers that pick up the blue and purple of the petals' inside edges. As you can read above, there a numerous ideas about what makes the photo snap. The bottom line is how you like its presentation. Thad
