A photo taken in my back yard the other evening as evening thunderstorms were building. Two hours later we had the most spectacular lightning display that I've seen in a long time. Enjoy.

Wow!. I love the way you naturally framed the sky with the foliage, and that sky is amazing as only nature can make it. Geez, love the frame, too. Guess that adds up to a 10.

Wow, thats a great shot of rays of sun breaking through...probably the best I have seen. The framing is especially nice in this one as well, it is simple and graceful at the same time. Did you manage to get any shots of the lightning? Last summer I sat outside on our front porch for about an hour and couldn't get anything satisfying. Great job!

This corner of the earth is like me in many ways. I can sit for hours here and watch the emerald feathers play. On the face of this I'm blessed when the sunlight comes for free. I know this corner of the earth it smiles at me. -Jamiroquai

Thanks, everyone. No, my little digital camera doesn't have an overly long exposure time, and I couldn't snap a shot off at exactly the right time to catch any lightning bolts. Got a lot of pitch black frames. :)

Do you have any other pics of this sunset in a landscape position?

Actually, I don't. The natural framing of the trees required a vertical format.

Oh my...this is breathtaking...what a glorious image you have captured. The rays from the sun behind the cloud is with such brilliant colors and the overall image has so much for the eye to gaze upon. What wonderful things God lets us see. Fantastic image!! Two thumbs up here all the way and into the fav's!!

wow.
much as i've tried, i've never actually gotten a picture where you can actually see the sun's rays go off like in yours. i always get this soft diffuse glow, not those focused rays.

great picture
the framing is awesome as well

nice!
