The circular area isn't a landing site, just a low spot where water collects during what passes for a rainy season in these parts. This is a three shot composite looking southwest toward San Diego from the top of Ghost Mountain in the Anza Borrego desert. Shot with the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II tilt/shift lens, using both tilt & shift. I climbed over a whole lot of boulders to get this view.

Maybe the use of a polarizing filter would have a little more pep in heaven! Excellent capture Russ, and great job.

I have a polarizer to go with the Lee filter system and it's good for single shots, but not panoramas. A polarizer will render the sky differently depending on the angle of the sun to the lens and makes stitching together three shots almost impossible. Getting these three to mesh was difficult enough. Grad ND filters is the best way, but I've had trouble with vignetting at full shift. Still working on it though.
