I have read about people doing this. I'm so glad that you're trying it. Not only because it's an intriguing photographic artform that is unique in each creation (no 2 crystalized bubbles will ever be identical), but also because I am smiling at the image of you ... in my mind, a big, tough guy, dressed all in your O'Cluadhlaoich avatar black hat and duster ... playing with soap bubbles in the snow. lol :)

Thank you for an honest kind comment. which im now humbled by. also the in-depth analysis of my profile avi. very close to the picture you portray in many ways, which is why i leave it up as a reminder to myself, I believe anyways...and also the point should be made as a reminder to us all:
We all have this inner child that should never be completely dismissed, embrace and allow it to escape. its the kinder side of each and everyone of us. you can deny it if you like but it doesnt remove it totally. complicated we are, yet simplified in those terms all at the same time. I would like to believe there's more good in humanity then evil. life molds us into what we really are. however, (I believe) a man needs to have both a rough side to him to handle the world around him, protect the ones he loves and his beliefs, yet a gentle side as well to allow love, tenderness, that both children need and his soul mate. a balance we will always struggle to have and a hard one to hold on to. that's what O'Cluadhlaoich is all about.

Very cool! It took me a while to figure out what you are doing. I somehow missed Bubble I. I can see you have a lot of patience.

I had the same reaction as my wife... Ooohh, wow... that is cool! She said that when she was doing child care she would try doing this with the kids but it would rarely work. I love the swirled frozen detail, so colorful and busy as opposed to the branch and bokeh (my wife first thought it was a Christmas tree ornament, surprised when I clued her in). I like how you're always coming up with ideas that challenge the rest of us, Chris. You're a real asset to this site. This one is going right into my wallpapers folder, thanks.
