I borrowed I real macro lens to see if I really want one. I do. Does anyone know what the flower is? The plant is a climber.

Excellent macro image Robert. Thanks for that!
Regards, Cornelius
PS: The flower could the 'Jasminum Revolutum', but my wife disagree. To her it's a Hypericum (Perforatum). In Dutch called St-janskruid (don't know the English name). I don't argue about that as she's an expert, lol

Exceptions must be made though - and for this wonderful macro I will. Such beautiful clarity, I am waiting for a drop of water to fall on my desk.
A splendid photo,Robert.

It looks like St John's Wort (?)

Fantastic, Robert and the lighting is superb too. Tell me the lens and I'll tell you the flower. :) I think the flower is called Snake Vine. lol She sure looks great against the darkened background.

From the looks of this, I'd say you want a macro lens. What macro lens is this? If you have a Canon, I would recommend the Canon 180mm.

Ok, being the curious fellow that I am ... I looked at the largest resolution size. And then, kicked it up another 25%.

Stunning shot Robert. Technically superb. The DOF and focus is gorgeous.

Compositionally? Should be in a book as an example. I almost ... almost wanted to nitpick on the inclusion of the lower leaves. Yet, visually it stilled worked to my eyes.

Checking a grid/template of sorts ... the central portion of the bloom is practically spot on on a CW rotated 3 X 2 Thirds line intersection point.

Really nicely done. I enjoy this one a lot.

And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us.
