This is a photo of the tarantula I am waiting to pick up from the pet store here in town. This breed is very sought after due to the beautiful coloration of the females, which in turn makes them very hard to come across. So me being able to come across this pretty girl was very lucky.

Now for the story behind this photo. **A must see at full screen to see the colors really stand out.** I took this photo just a few seconds after she tried to rip me a new one. I was lightly nudging her out from the side of her tank and she didnt approve of it at all. She swatted with her front legs a few times at the foreceps I was using and started showing off her large fangs (roughly about 1/2" - 3/4" - I havent quite gotten the urge to get in there and measure to be sure lol). After her first lunge, she was at the top of the tank and nearly out. Luckily, I was able to get her down after she swatted a couple more times. She finally calmed down long enough for me to get a couple shots. They are known to be a very aggresive spider and she does not hesitate to prove that true.

The photo is merely cleaned up and brightened a bit. The color she shows on her legs is true. Enjoy. Ty.

I've never seen the colors so closely or clearly on a tarantula - and would never want to be that close in person! Agressive and spider don't sound like a fun mix to me lol. Nice job and hope you are enjoying your pet.

Spiders aren't my cup of tea, I can tell you that much. Looking at this image full view gives me the heebie-jeebees because it's so clear and detailed! Excellent capture, thanks for sharing!

Wow! What a beautiful lady you have there! I really like this tarantula. She is really nice colored.I would adore her!Too bad we cannot find tarantulas in my country, not even in pet shops :) I would be afraid to sleep knowing I have one in my house. But I can't lie : tarantulas are beautiful!
