Repeating and infinite, hiding surprises, and causing a lot of frustration while the artist fights to tease out the juiciest bits. For the Fractal constest; I promise I'll leave this formula alone after this!

I remember seeing this gorgeous piece when you posted it, Jenny, and could have sworn that I left a comment back then, but I am getting older and my brain was practically cooked by COVID, back in January, so any memory I have is becoming more and more suspect. That said, tealeaves Lori is the one who taught me to appreciate fractals, not only for the effort required to create them but for their unique beauty. Your fractals, and in particular, this one, have such depth throughout many layers. I always enjoy studying them and coming up with my own interpretation of what I am seeing. Unlike my photos, which, most of the time, are simply what you see (a duck is a duck is a duck), basically a one-time use image, fractals like yours can be something different for every person who views them, thereby living on and on. In my mind, what I am seeing here could be a nebula of gigantic size, loaded with young stars, reaching from up close to many light years away. It also has the character of an anatomical membrane, backlit by the sun, bringing to mind an incident during the revolutionary war, in which a physician was able to look through the stomach wall of a patient who had been struck by a lead shot. A bit gruesome, yes, but I did say that fractals stir my brain into activity, right? That can only be a good thing for a 67-year-old diabetic whose recollections were cooked in January. So thanks for that!
