Kia Ora Russell, thanks for your nice words on Calm Before The Storm, pleased you liked it and appreciate your comment. I enjoy taking pics from my file of many failures and trying to make something of them. Some work, so most definitely don't :) I was quite pleased with this one and even tried printing it. The results were disappointing.

I am thrilled to find all the positive attention Lazienki Park capture has received. Who could ask for more? No wonder, the capture was taken in one of the most beautiful parks in Warsaw, where half of Warsaw descends on a Sunday to take the traditional family stroll. 74 hectares of the park feature among others the art-deco Chopin monument, the palace on the water, an old orangery and a classicist amphitheatre. The site originally served as the residence of Stansilaw August Poniatowski - Poland’s last monarch.

I am glad you decided to follow my series, Russell. I have planned to pit myself against this concept for some time now and was glad to discover that I have actually risen to the challenge. Now that I have tested my camera I am looking forward to some more challenges… Stay tuned

Russell wrote about "railway safety"
An interesting picture. I like the perspective in the rails at the top.
I find it a little awkward in that none of the 'yellow things' are complete in the picture .. maybe a touch over saturated as well.

You really are very kind Russell, spending time in my Gallery and leaving such nice observations and comments, to mention only Dunajec castle II capture. I am glad you were not afraid of the brooding castle, the dark menacing waters and a sky brewing up for a storm… In fact I was quite happy with the unusual weather while visiting the place. It gave the whole scene a feel of mystery.

You put a big smile on my face with that lovely comment you left on small tortoiseshell at lunch time (“feast of color”). Theses popular butterflies are mainly orange and brown on the top with dark camouflaged underwings (at the image). This time it was easy to find it against the vivid colors of the flowers. Soon I’ll upload some other photo of this cheerful flutterfly. Stay tuned.

thanks Russell for the post on my Best of British shot - the original stock shot of the bomber had very poor contrast and colour as it was an overcast sky it was photographed against so I had to try and introduce some light movement into it to match the new sky background - it definitely blends in better on the infrared version - but then again that usually covers a multitude of sins :-)

Hi Russel,

I had a look at the other one too. I like them both equally. And the light is wonderful - being natural with no flash. I'm still trying to work out why they don't "grab" me as much as I would expect. Maybe it is because I don't feel a connection with the bird - they are not looking at me and being pretty much side on in both cases there is less of a sense of movement than if they were at an angle or looking straight at the camera.

They are wonderful shots nonetheless.
