It doesn't look so much like a vulture in color SK. I think the tree has more to do with that then anything. It belongs next to the only water hole for 500 miles in any direction.
They don't use the term eagle eye for nothing...what a stare. He could see a needle in a haystack two miles away. What a crisp and clear photo... very good EJ
Well believe it or not, I like the B&W better EJ. And I'm not a B&W fan, but your color version is a bit distorted in its chest area. Its a beautiful shot, but I like the B&W.

You caught this eagle in such a majestic pose. I notice a bit grain / noise, but not too bad as my eyes lead directly to that 'eagle eye'. Wonderful capture EJ.
Great capture EJ I loved the black and white, the color version is wonderful too.I have been lucky enough to find an active Coopers Hawk nest and hope to post some shots soon.
What a beeauuty Ed! I do wish it would cut those fingernails though, those have got to hurt! Tremendous work on this one, I even like the way the branches are arranged here!
