Chris, pollinating has its highest priority so that it hasn't time to pay attention to you. Giving you the opportunity to capture undisturbed this macro. I see that you've succeeded in doing this very well!

While it may be a little soft, Chris, I remember camera technology twelve years ago, and I spent over three decades working with historic photographs... one tends to expect scratches, dust, and blurs in photos well over a hundred years old, and softer results from an older camera, in an age when updates are happening all the time. Of course, in this case, I think the low light may have contributed to (since your Monarch macro, taken at the same time, is astonishingly tack-sharp).
