One of the absolute highlights of Florida to me is the Merrit Island National Wildlife Refuge - Black Point Wildlife Drive. The 7-mile, one-way drive follows a dike road around several shallow marsh impoundments and through pine flat woods. And then you might see this bird. I saw it sitting far far away but managed to pull of this lucky shot with my 300 mm lens. Although I have many shots of Bald Eagles, this is actually the first photograph I ever made of one in the wild.
