this is unreal! it is so beautiful---the colors are so moody! this hasn't been manipulated has it? either way, it is really nice. i wish i had been there!
Thanks! I am glad you all enjoyed the shot, that makes it worth getting eaten up by gnats for an hour or so. LOL!
It is pretty common to see an alligator near the shore, but none were seen on this day. Maybe one of my future posting from here will have a shot of it, and don't worry, I will use the 10x optical zoom for that shot!
No manipulation, not even cropped in Photoshop. I only used a clear UV filter on the camera.
Beauty always comes with a price. Gnat's life. ;0 I like the shadow of the vegetation on the left too. You should have this framed or made into a painting.
Well worth the wait and loss of blood Tom. There is some slight noise in the shadows which washes the silhouette mostly noticeable in the foreground grass...constructive criticism from the heart. Sorry for getting pickier by the day;-) Nice capture all the same Tom!
eh shouldntve said anything about the noise i wouldntve noticed it =) the sunsets great and to see it twice in the reflections just awesome. silhouette is always a nice touch :)
i watch how the moon sits in the sky on a dark night shining with the light from the sun the sun doesnt give light to the moon assuming the moons gunna owe it one
The only thing that would make this better was if I had taken the photo & the gnats!
Just gorgeous....the reflection is perfect as is the sunset as is the image! Thanks for the blood donation Tom it was well worth it!
Wow, this is a gorgeous image. Although it looks like the sky is opening up and turning into a swirling firey maelstrom. Love that grass in the lower left too, gives me some depth even with all the dark areas. 10/10 + Favs for me.
Looking at all your pictures, you have really captured quite a few beautiful shots. I think this is breathtaking and I am glad that you were able to snatch this shot.
People living in Florida are getting to be about as disgusting as people living in Oregon-so much to photograph, so little time. I'm jelous. We just don't get these brilliant sunsets/rises around my area.
The golden oranges really caught my eye. They really stand out against the silhouette landscape. The reflection on the pond is first class. Magnificent!
Hello Tom...Brousing through your gallery and came across this beauty...You have certainly captured a moment in time...The beautiful colours and the silhouettes makes this picture a pleasure to view....Well done....All the best....Mick.
