The sun was just up when we got to Par Beach Pond yesterday morning, and the light and reflections made photographing swans even more enjoyable than usual :-)

The warmth of the evening sunlight on the swan contrasts beautifully with the dark water. Very nice.

Very nice picture. I like the contrast between the swan and the water as well.

Some of the smoothest ripples and reflections I've viewed. The glow and highlight certainly where it should be and I like that there isn't any glare. Just right all around. Pretty photo.

You have really outdone yourself on this one Simon. This image only enhances the beauty of the graceful swan. I even like the the way the swan't head/neck is, sort of like it is waking up too! Well done my friend and into my fav's folder on my harddrive. Thank you :~)

I'm not sure whether this swan is admiring itself or meditating but either way it seems lost in thought...or, maybe it is just snoozing, lol...however, the pose and lighting together make this a very pretty and peaceful capture...very nicely done.:Pat.

Hi Simon, how absolutely charming, the swan in all of it's grace is lovely! What a capture this is, the clarity, the colors, the lighting, just everything is perfect! Sincerely, Marilyn

the time that you took that photo was in the afternoon i bet!!
did you wanted on purpose to tone the duck, with the dark colour water?
because you did :)
my guess is that picture would be completly different if it was taken earlier, or, in the morning perhaps.
nice one, i rated it 10/10

The droplets of water dripping from it's beak really make this photo come to life. Love the relections also.

Across the pond she goes and into my favorites folder she goes and up on the score board, a ten she goes.
