Had a little glare on this one that I tried to get rid of but the location of the sun just made it a tough shot. I still liked it enough to post it. Hope you like it too.
Sorry, Paul, but I can't see anything wrong with this posting. If you hadn't mentioned the glare, it would have escaped my eagle eye (or at least the left one). I don't mind saying that this shot is a stunner. From the rickety fence in the foreground to the sky in the distance (and especially everything in between), this shot is about as close to flawless as I've seen. The colors in the mountains are stunning. It makes me wonder what sort of geologic upheaval created such a picturesque scene. The meandering river is the icing on the cake. The composition is splendid. Love the combination of reds and greens and all of those textures from the cliffs and beyond. Truly a remarkable posting. You are hereby awarded one fave, three wow's, one ataboy and a suggestion that you send this to National Geographic. I have never awarded a 10 in the VB, but I would be tempted on this wonderful posting. One of the best I've ever seen. I apologize for gushing.
Such a beautiful scene, Paul. It must have been difficult to shoot with the sun overhead. Those shots are always difficult to deal with. I might have played with the green and yellow saturation to help the sky (selected it first). Skies are often problems for me, at least.
One of the most unique and intriguing pictures I have ever seen as well!!!!!!!! It's looks real but then it also looks like a mock up model- a compliment:)- of the real thing which would explain the unusual colors!! SUPERB!! This perspective is unique and entrancing:)...I can't explain it but it's a WOWZSER!!!.I will vote this into the permanent gallery for sure!!!!!!!!!!
Ya know what Paul? I think if you could have just put a different sky in this, it'd be perfect! Its such a beautiful sight and everything else is superb!!!! Try it for me :)
I think we all here understand the issues we have with the sun (only when photographing though!) and good thing you posted this photo anyways because the rocks are very architectural and interesting. The water going between them is pretty cool too.
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
Glaring sky dutifully noted as the one casualty of this otherwise lovely scene. A nicely composed shot, Paul. I like the colours and textures in the photo.
I love, Love, LOVE this one! What a fantastic shot!! Love the angle you got between the two cliffs with the rugged fence along the front and the river meandering through the cliffs....Ah! This is perfect to me!! ~Kim
