If at high seas, it would have been a manic situation, but the Russian replica of the frigate 'Shtandart' is moored now. Probably her crew has 'siesta time' and are doing a nap now.
For me an excellent opportunity to capture this scene.

Let's wake up the crew then...would love a ride on this boat...fabulous rich color and texture in all this wood...a tad manic perhaps but your excellent capture overrides the 'missing helmsman' and a pleasure to view.

It's the "Emperor's New Helmsman", don't you know? Love the lines and details in this; if I ever made it to the Netherlands (my wife's heritage), seeing these boats would definitely be on my list. Into my favorites for sure, C.
