it kindof hurt shrinking this image about 4 times to get it at 1600x1200 resolution. it took 16 pictures in a panorama to get this view. can i get people's opinions on whether i should get rid of the jet trails? personally i find them interesting, but others might find them distracting

Excellent edit...you did a superb job piecing them all together.

thanks, i cant really take too much credit for piecing them together, i just use a cheapo photostich program that does a half decent job, then i just fix whatever it messed up on myself. several smaller ones, or sequences (from skiing) i have put together manually, but i cant image doing that with a matrix of pictures (2 vertical by 8 horizontal) i always shoot panorama's with my camera vertical/portrait that way i can have less vertical while maintaining a nicer aspect ratio.

Leave 'em in. They add so much to the curve of the horizon. What a wonderful wall sized poster this would make.

Wow this is just stunning... Very nicely done. I agree that the jjet trails are kind of intresting. ..16 pictures!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?! haha. One thing that I don't perticularly like it the green top and bottom boarder line things (whatever they are called) ..it's just that the green doesn't really fit. ..but its good that you tried something new besides just the plain old black ..though I think that would fit better. ..just my opinion. Yeah this looks like something from the lord of the rings. I really love these colors!! Very nicely done. 9* and in the favs.

this is at Sunshine Village, Banff, Alberta, Canada. really this shot was actually taken in BC, but that is only because the mountain top i took this shot off, is right on the boarder.

Totally keep the jet trails. They're still on there right? They really give the picture a wonderful panoramic feeling. you can make a version without it but always keep an original. This image is sooo awesome. I love the wide angle bent feeling of it. Keep up the awesome work. I have a shot with like 5 pictures pasted together but this is much more awesome. 10/10

A most magical photo! Ive done a few panoramas..takes great skill..but well worth it. I think since the jet trails were there, it is the real thing. They kind of make it look like a painting too...These colours are so good and the whole thing is definitely a work of art..other than God creating the scene ..YOU created the photo..just wonderful!!

Beautiful and magnificent; I love panorama shots. I think you should leave the jet trails. I agree with you- they add interest to the picture. They don't detract from the mountains at all.

I'd tell you to go back and shoot it again without the jet trails. You seem to prefer not to photoshop your pics. So don't, just use it as an excuse to go back. Looks good otherwise. I don't like when civilization intrudes on an otherwise nice nature picture. And you're looking a beautiful natural image, it would be nice not to have the contrails.

Found this image in Featured Images.
I love it, and want to thank you for the posting. I am in luck that i do not know the original non resized image otherwise i would feel the same as you i guess.
For me all mountains are great.
About the contrails, well... they are part of life nowadays, i would leave them in, i am quiet good in deleting, or cloning, but i do not see how this image could have been inproved on any further.
Thanks again for this post.

Hans.
