The name suits it very well, it very much reminds me of a fireworks display. It is a very good piece but I tend to agree it is a bit harsh for a desktop, as a print yes I could see that.
This image exhibits a feeling of split light. It reminds me of looking at frost on the window and seeing the spectrum unfold. This is also NOT in any sense, a lame or poor piece of work as some of the feedbackers have falsey thought, its just misplaced.
I am also kind of irritated to see that no one has realize this is piece is geniously designed close to a popular and effective color scheme. Split-complementary. Blue, voilet, subtle bits of red and yellow are the most colors that stand out if any. It is a very amazing piece of work.
I somewhat agree with sphynx and andy, the split-complimentary colors ARE there, but the palette is a bit washed out (Especially approaching the center). Nice concept of the 6th power formula, but the quality does need work. Maybe applying an anti-alias and less complexity also. Not a bad work...but could use improvement. Sorry if this was too harsh, I try to give constructive criticism.
it's very nice, but it would look better if it were zoomed in a bit. the blurry sides are too much and take too much detail away from the picture. the fractal has great potential, you just have to show it.
