About 40 minutes from my house is an air museum housing several dozen antique aircraft. I recently visited it for the first time. This is a Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk that was part of the Flying Tigers in WW II. Madras, Oregon USA.

I'm to a certain extent glad that I don't live that near, Ted, because I suppose that this museum was frequented by me almost permanently, so that there wasn't any time left to do other essential things as well, ☺ .
Very interesting and fine shot. I love it very much!

And how long have you been living there? I find this to be a colloquial phenomenon--people who live in close proximity to a tourist attraction, like a museum, often do not visit it because they figure they will always have time to do so, eventually, but visiting just seems to slip away. For many years I was associated with a major museum and constantly ran into people who lived in the city all their lives and never once walked through the museum doors, even though out-of-town (and out-of-state) visitors raved about it. This is a classic WWII beauty and I can see plenty more classics in the background. I'm guessing your back was up against another aircraft and that was the reason for the close crop?
