Captured this at the Christmas Gala of our figure skating club back in 2014 - the parents give me permission to use the images at posting. Of course I gave all the edited pictures to the skating club to give out to the skaters.
Thought I'd put this in the Current Contest "Tools of the Trade. The tools of our trade as most of you have guessed are the figure skates.
This young lady is performing what we call a Shoot the Duck. Hope you enjoy.

That is one great action shot, Pat. I have a vague recollection of a time when I was that limber (certainly not now at 62), but she definitely knows what she's capable of and is enjoying every minute. And folks, no worries, what appears to be a large ugly bruise on her extended leg is only the shadow of her left fist. I like the fact that you either got the capture with nothing in the frame but her and the ice or you were wise enough to crop all else out. It works very well and is a good entry because, like Doug's (mirto56), it shows the tools as well as them being used. Good luck in the contest.

This one makes me think of our current campaigner for the presidency----The Donald. Now I see a "shut the duck," movement.
