Do I spot a little color in there? Very good work in B/W and very fitting for the season. There is an old story of an accused 'witch' buried in a local graveyard ... they built a cage across the top of the grave and secured it with concrete to prevent her from escaping after death. It looked much like these iron bars. True or false, I'm not sure.
It looks a sad and bleak place. To be commemorated by just a number seems so heartless. The rose is a poignant reminder that these were people with loved ones and that one of them still cares. A thought-provoking image.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
