Jokulsarlon, the Iceberg Lagoon, at around midnight. During the day I'd randomly got talking to some fella who was out talking photos in his kayak - turned out to be Thorsten Henn, pretty big Icelandic photographer. Ended up chatting to him as it gradually got darker, though conversation stopped and we let our cameras do the talking as the moon rose over the nearby mountains, and produced this scene...

I thought you had created this in Photoshop or another program. It's hard to believe it's real - it is so beautiful. The water is so still. And to top it off, you got to talk to a professional photographer. I would've been in heaven! Congrats on a great photo.

This is outstanding. The scenery, the water that looks like glass, that crescent of moon which adds warmth to all those icy blues...Breathtaking. Stellar work and a fave for me.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

For how many people do you think might yet stand on this planet before the sun grows cold? That's the responsibility we hold in our hands.
