to me, the background is not important, it should not detract from the wonderful way you capture the fungus itself. have loved all your fungus pics! don't have much around here, it doesn't rain enough!

I love the sense of flow from the background. Lovely soft ferns in the foreground and of course, the perfect center of attention, the mushroom.

As far as your background goes, I think it is superior work in that it offsets the angles of the mushroom so well by fanning out to the left, while the subject itself is fanning out over the bottom. It is, of course, a masterful job :)PJ
