Rosendale, NY is famous for it's cement mines. Cement mined from here was used in construction of the Brooklyn Bridge and the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty..and other landmarks.

This was taken near some of the abandoned/ruined silos from an old cement mine.

I'm not too fond of the big rusted barrel in the middle of the shot, but I wasn't about to touch it or even try moving it. Ha.

A very attractively composed photo! I like the leaves leaning in from the top right repeating the green below. Photoshop has some handy rusty-barrel-removal tools. :-)

Very different and interesting shot. When I saw this as a thumbnail, I thought the light in the tunnel was moon. Nice lighting.
