Three beautiful Sitka Spruce sisters in the Carmanah Valley. All three were born in 16th century and each is close to 8ft in diameter and 250ft tall. This was the only angle to catch the greatest veiw of this trio.
Just knew it was yours! Love the angle. I agree it's the best way to capture a true understanding of size. I took a picture of the World Trade Center with this same angle 5+ yrs ago. Unfortunately I can't get a good enough image of it to post here. Well done, Darryl! 3 guesses as to where its going....
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man less, but Nature more

Absolutely fantastic photo. Three gracious ladies. I love the soft moss(?) growing on the bark.
(We have three mountain peaks side by side in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, they also officially known as the three sisters!)
Spectacular Darryl. You are so creative. In my opinion that is what photography is all about, capturing the beautiful and unusual and sharing it with others.

Wow. It's hard for me to pick my favorite up through the tree shots but this is wayyyyyy up there with the others and I do mean wayyyyyy up! Title helps it too. Means something around here. ;)
And you have caught the greatest view of the triplets! What a beautiful angle this was shot from. At 250ft. tall, I gusss you didn't have to lay on the ground to capture these sisters! The moss on the tree trunks really softens the image.Fine job & kudo's! Thank you.
AWESOME job. If I remember correctly, and don't take my word on it, but I think there is a mountain range called Three Sisters in Australia. I love the title. It absolutely fits your astounding photo.
We do have a Three sisters here they are a rock formation at Katoomba.
Darryl it’s an awe-inspiring image. Just how close together are these trees? You got terrific shadow detail and tremendous depth of focus. Nicely done.
And yet another one of yours I have somehow missed. What a perspective. If I don't pay attention to what I'm doing, I'll find myself laying on the floor looking up at the monitor. That's what this composition makes me want to do. It is so alive and so real. To have gotten this in complete focus from top to bottom is remarkable. The detail and texture is out of sight. This is truly a fantastic photo. Goooood work.
