It was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge. May that be truly said of us, and all of us! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, "God Bless Us, Every One!
--Charles Dickens
This is fantastic, So moving Darryl. Geeze, this is one of my new favorites. The colors are so attracting and the mist... everything. Perfect, a 10/10.
Moonlight and a touch of mistiness and voila!...an otherwise beautiful lake scene turns into a magical, mysterious environment...beautiful lighting here that captures the eye and the imagination and whispers to you...be at peace....great work.:Pat.
This is just so lovely, mayne. I just got back from camping in Algonquin. I saw this image and it harkened me back right away. Thanks so much. I love the format of it, btw.. the long narrow vista. It's just beautiful.
I love the closeness of the branches in the foreground and the way we look through them into the mist to see the land. I love the way the moon coming up behind the trees is casting those beautiful shadows on the surface of that ever so calm water there... I could look at this for hours...
And now I'm off to look up what a loon is coz I have no idea... But hey, I'm sure if I did know what a loon was I could hear it too... :o)
Thanx again for a little bit of tranquility on my desktop
I don't know if this has been done before, as I have already commented prior, but ...
This image was offered up as an illustrative example of a piece with ... borders. And the profound effect it can have as an element to a composition. All you have to do is open your eyes and view this and the case has been made. It is another 'tool' for the artist, and when judicisciously used (definitively so, IMHO on this one) the results are ... magical.
Wish I had said it the first time. But, better late than never. This is beautiful.
This is absolutely beautiful, it's so captivating! The soft yet strong contrast between the blue and black is incredible. I love how this image has a soft glowing touch to it. The black inner glow really accentuates this image. The lighting in this shot is great, I just wish I could have been there to experience this spectacular moment. I'm fortunate enough to live in BC and the beauty of nature is definitely in abundance here. Can't wait to see more of your shots!
No. The journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path. One that we all must take. The grey-rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all will turn to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores and beyond. The far green country unto a swift sunrise.
The colors are great, the blue fits perfectly with black and the framing is great too!The place looks a little bit scarry, but I think that's another thing that I like at you image.Well done!
