Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.

"In times of rapid change, the learners will inherit the Earth, while the knowers find themselves to be beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists." Eric Hoffer
Beautiful capture. I've tried some photography in the high mountains, and it is hard to get right. This is wonderfully clear and well composed. Deserves the favorable attention it is getting.
"Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many."- "I wish the Ring had never come to me.
I wish none of this had happened..." "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."-Gandalf
Looking at the rating this composition has managed to garner, I'm not the only one who likes this photo. It is so clear. The perspective is awesome. The colors seem all natural...no photoshop minipulation, at least not obvious manipulation. You make the viewer want to get on an airplane and and get over to this place immediately. Well done.
