Learning all the time. A &Mr. Smith pointed out a flaw in the original post, for which I am grateful, so I was able to adjust it. I'm not sure if these types of roses are actually called Black Roses, but they certainly are a luscious dark red that deepens into a velvety black. I know someone else has a post similar to this one, but I couldn't wait to put it up :)PJ

Oh wow this is totally beautiful and going to my favorites. Love the water droplets on this one I would have to say flaw-less for sure. Putting on my desktop right now :) Great Job PJ

The lighting is superb on this. I like how the water drops frame the center of the rose. Nice capture on the focus being on the center of the rose and the macro shows real well. Good job! Jodie

Gorgeous set of roses. Lovely colour of course and the dewdrops make it just glisten. Kinda wish ya hadn't cut off the right side of them tho...just want to see as much of those two as possible. But its a gorgeous shot no matter what...saved it to my folder too...V

This is absolutely gorgeous - so rich with wonderful clarity and depth. The water drops add dimension and interest. The background is soft and alluring just like the flower. The lighting is also outstanding. A 10 for sure, PJ!

I remember the other black rose posted earlier this week by another caedes artist, and it definitely was beautiful. Also remembered you saying you had planned on posting one of your own, but felt you would postpone it for awhile....I know I was disappointed in that. You see I have come to realize that you choose your subject matter very carefully and I definitely see your enthusiasm for perfection. Case in point....just look at this "Black Rose", the clarity, color and composition are near perfect. No less than a 10, and I hope I get the opportunity to view this in vb.

"Black Rose" is an absolutly gorgeous image, PJ. The roses you selected are the perfect color red roses are supposed to be. very beautful indeed PJ its in my favorts as well. it is an outstanding image when inlarged. but i may be mistaken on this one to. i think this could be called a velvet rose because of the color. a black rose is black. i've seen many of them. but with this gorgous image it dont matter.
