Marvellous capture, Pierre, especially the lighting! I like how you've caught the sparkle of the snow and how it contrasts so well with the shaded areas. Excellent!
Fantastic picture!! Gorgeous and, and , and .......cold!! Bravo Pierre:)
Good eye Adrienne, it does appear that the snow and sky are close 'cousins' .lol:):)
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
Caught this on the front page...what a magnifcent shot! The composition is superb. A question though? Are those a few snowflakes at the top of the screen or random artifacts from the reflected light?
Pierre, as I've always told you, your snow photos are the most beautiful of all the photos you take. And this one is proof of it once again. The way you captured the 'rolling snow' and the wonderfully dramatic, yet soft shadows is magnifique!! Then there are those precious sparkling snowflakes as they bring such whimsy to the snow and the way you got the snow at the right time, the way it gently lays on the branches. This is almost one of your best my friend, altho you have many from a few years ago that I still love, that are as good. Thank you soooo much for such beauty, it is going right onto my desktop, and maybe one day I will get an enlargement of it and frame it and hang it in my humble home. Verena
WOW!!! Pierre now THAT'S a wonderful winter scene... love the dark sky with the wispy clouds.. the capture of shadows really sets the whole scene.. beautiful shot my friend
I like (alot) the light and shadow play here, and the sparkle of the ice/snow crystals is very cool. The crop confuses me a bit. If you couldn't widen the shot any more vertically, perhaps it might've been a little bit more balanced with a slight crop in from the left? *shrug* Just thought I'd ask. Oh, and the metering here is spot-on. Nice!
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
whoa: the first moment I looked at the big image, I thought that the blue field on the top of the image was the sky, I was also going to comment on your strange use of embossing. Then I realized that it's still snow!!! Beautiful place.
