This is a subject that I've used before - the Blind River fishing camp - but this time I caught it in a wide format instead of so tightly zoomed. We can see the bayou and the lovely cypress trees that are the signature of the Louisiana swampland.

Hi Reg,,,gosh, this reminds me so much of when I lived in Marksville! I saw scenes like this...and so this takes me back..this is lovely in such a unique way. The swamps are very unique to begin with. I remember when my first husband and his dad would go thru them chaing the wild pigs so we could have them for dinner! We had an old pickup truck bed that he made into a small trailer and put a dome like canvas on the top, so he could sleep in it while on the bayou lands..wow..and you know, that pig was still the BEST food I've ever ever had...so I thank you for posting this, I get a good feeling...seeing this view....very nicely framed...I love the cypress trees....

I'm with Darryl, this is a beautifully artistic rendering of the area. 10/10 from me, Regmar. The color, composition, your framing, choice of type style and the image itself is top notch.

Great mood inspiring snapshot. It is incredible how you managed to capture the slight and subtle nuances in light. And it was already pretty dark. I can imagine the view must have been breathtaking in reality, well I noticed the photo will never reflect the full beauty of the place no matter what. I wonder did you work on it in a photoshop or was it the pure beuty?
Congratulations

agree with the other comments. i think the pale colour of the sky goes brilliantly with the dark trees and the little building by the river. wide format is good too. favourites.
