This is a part of a modern art building, the "Orthopaedic Institute for Joint and Movement Studies Groningen" It is a part of the "University Medical Centre Groningen
Was going to take a look at your other photo of the Institute's structure via your galleries (had seen it in and amongst the new/contest images) ... and this one comes to the forefront for me personally.
The proportions of building itself and that of negative space (sky) works very well.
Allowing your viewers a glimpse of context and then being able to focus on the gorgeous architecture.
Hey, you, John, this is something quite different !!!! From any architecture I have seen so far. That it. Of course needless to say 10/10 in VB tonight. SAM
Lovely balance with that sliver of sky, the jagged edge between sky and building contrasting to the smoothness of the fluid shapes and the way the exposure change from left to right somehow adds to the movement feel. Fantastic image.
