I am a gardener at heart. I love nature, plant life etc. My garden says that about me so at times, especially in the winter, I like to take the garden inside. Although this is a minute perspective of vegetation of sorts, it lends an interesting perspective as a background. I like it otherwise I would never of downloaded it. Thanks!
Here in the Netherlands 200 years ago farmers cut the mushroom in little pieces and cook it whit milk and suger or honey..... put it on a plate, there you want the fly's to die.
The fly's eat the poisened suger and die verry quik. Often used there where the cow's sleep.
so the french name is the best ( thx pierre )
In holland they say witches start to Fly after eating this mushroom
And others say that this mushroom grows there where Sleipnir, the horse from the old pagan god Wodan or Odin, hits the ground. The horse is white, Wodan is dressed red and the white spots represents the moist comming out of the mouth of Sleipnir.
The " modern " dutch thanks-giving , sinterklaas ( kinda santaklaus ) still remembers about wodan. St. Nikolaas is still dressed in red & white has a white horse and has black helpers just like wodan has his 2 crows that see and hear everything.
The detail, crispness and clarity of this composition is beyond any word or group of words I could think of to adequately describe it. I beat up my knuckles trying to reach through my computer screen to touch the mushrooms, that's how real they appear. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat work.
