Okay. . .

I don't quite get it. It looks kind of like one of those bulletin boards that you see on crime shows that a mad stalker or psycopath keeps. What are you trying to convey with this? what do the different pieces mean?

Very strange.

hi caiden, just replying to your somewhat puzzled and disturbed reaction to "original sin 2".i can understand how you may find the collage unsettling.i will try to give some kind of explanation with the proviso that the creative process itself is something words cannot fully convey since, especially in a work like this, the subconscious is working overtime with the consequence that the image's "meaning"is open to interpretation.so,after all that preamble i'll try to give some idea of what i was intending.the picture was created 10 years ago when i was in hospital suffering with the manic phase of bi-polar affective disorder.this may account for the wild intense and aggressive mood.the collage attempts to gather together aspects of sin and passion.the setting is some kind of eden-hence the cider/apple reference along with the naked couple.in the bottom left ther is a trio of semi-naked girls suggesting maybe a modern attempted utopian "back to nature"idea.linked to this is the violent illustration of an apparent rape(which you probably take exception to).the thinking behind this was that modern attempts to revisit paradise are bound to fail-human nature being what it is.the heart illustration at the centre is bound up with this idea.it represents raw ,lustful, savage passion as a contrast to the more euphoric type of romance.the flying form at the top to me suggests hope in the face of all the turmoil.well, there you haveit.i'm sorry if the image offended you and i hope i have put my case tolerably.thanks a lot for your comments-they have made me reassess what i was trying to achieve.above all the image is hopefully a kind of pictorial poem and was created VERY rapidly!best wishes simon

Another good collage here...like the previous one...Believe it or not, this style of collage art (I still can't find the name for it) that was controversial in the early 20th Century (especially in war and revolution-ridden Europe)...is on a comeback...I recently visited an art gallery in New York City, and was told there was a trend starting for these type of works...Thanks for sharing
