Please see Mark Rothko's early works....not the large flat planes of colour, but the more intricate drawing-like paintings/drawings..this is exquisite! One of my favourites of yours. That red area just counterbalances the gentleness of the lines to the left pefectly and the whole work is meaningful in an obtuse manner...mother/father/child.violence?

No actual connection between them with jealousy and intentional degradation as barriers. Consuming passion and flashes of cowardice provide yet more dimension.

I see this more as a Parent child piece. Please let me know what you had intended on this fascinating work.
I'm getting this message: that the defined humans depicted in the bluish green (parent and child) are having a dramatic episode over the not yet defined interloper that seems to be inserting itself into the relationship or is being introduced into an established one...whatever the relationship is that's being threatened...it's clearly portrayed. This is one for the art galleries. PJ
