what do you really get from the box and who actually decides what constitutes news?i get nothing from television except a numb imagination and an inability to commmunicate properly with others while "watching"it.maybe i'm just an oddball-philistine-killjoy.anyway i'd rather stare at that shed anyday.all comments/complaints eagerly received.

I guess its all in the programs. History and Discovery channel are favs of mine here. Can be a good learning tool but like most things have been perverted to manipulate the minds of the lost masses so they can sell more soap or beer or whatever it is.
You just have to be a wise consumer and discern for yourself what is worthy of time and attention.
I agree with you but realize that my own decisions must remain my own. And for those who escape reality through television perhaps reality is not all that great to begin with.

Maybe they should adopt this as the new test card. Certainly looks as though their programmes have taken a battering!

i see that shed has an opening, i think you should get in the shed, open the window and present us a programme! I dont watch tv either, apart from i am rather addicted to Lost and Dexter, so im sure you would be far more entertaining and do a far better job than most of the tv that is shown these days too.

Hi Simon
It's good to see normal services have been resumed. Can we retune to the BBCs light service "Hancocks half hour" on. I rarely watch tv now, and it don't seem fair I have to pay all the "tv licence bill" :o(
Nice upload. :d

Life's around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever, but he told me there was no cure for the disease.

lol Simon! well I would rather look at my pc! ;) I rarely watch TV these days - you are right - there is nothing much worth watching! I agree with Nigel, it would make a good test card, but do they ever use those these days? I remember staring at them waiting for programmes to come on as a child! :)

I was trying to think of good things on TV and since mine is down in the basement it gets used for baseball (not me), rented DVDs, Discovery channel and that one that shows the people traveling..lol...that's about the extent of it for me. If they ever determine that internet consumption is bad for your health, I'm in a heap of trouble! You know where I am most of the time, and just to make sure when you don't, I send pics back >>>LOL<<<<
