I had to comment Dave. I love the mimosa tree but alas, I don't have one at this house :(
Your image brings back fond memories of a beautiful mimosa tree that i had in my front yard......this is an excellent capture of of the blossom.
I saw the other image as well and that is quite the capture too. I was running short on time and didn't leave a comment.
Many thanks for the memories as well as for sharing this with me :=)
to my favorites it goes!
Great attention to the technical aspects and a wonderfully artistic image.
If I may be so bold, given the nature of the flower/bloom ... your photo here, has a slight edge over your previous mimosa shot. In that the DOF employed softens the contrasts of the ... and forgive me, don't know the word for that part of the mimosa bloom ... strands, a tad better. Personal preference.
As your other is, perhaps, a stronger composition in my eyes.
Both are excellent shots, make no mistake about my words here.
Minor caveat? Here?
Slight distraction of the one bloom peeking in at the mid to top left. Sets up the colour palette, however, I think ... think I would prefer more of an isolation of just the one bloom and the budding ones.
And but of course, thank you for sharing your talents with us. I do enjoy your work and appreciate your efforts and time. :o)
