"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
What a lovely sky ... You didn't put those birds in there for me ... did you ? :) Speaking of those birds ... What amazing focus they prove in this image. Full screen they are crystal clear on my screen. Just marvelous Hilda
Perfect composition...amazing sky and clearly you waited until just the right moment to click the shutter.... or chose this moment from around 100 shutter clicks! :)
Beautiful sunset, Hilda. You were at the ready too. I'm usually flippin around with settings and by then the geese have gone by. Nice capture and I know I've watched the geese and the sky like this before and feel like I am now as I view this lovely image.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

"The more we come in contact with animals, and observe their behaviour, the more we love them, for we see how great is their care for their young." - philosopher Immanuel Kant
A simple yet powerful image. Great spread of golden red from the bottom upwards. The birds give the photo a great depth of interest as you look and wonder where they are heading off. Really changes the perspective in a good way. Thanks for sharing. Are you storks? or geese?
