Thanks Scott for rambling by Highwayman . Lotsa people thought I used the liquefy tool on this in PS...nope, the only post work in PS was a little tweak on the color saturation. All else was totally Apophysis.
Hi Scott! I'm so happy that you like 'Tropical' and I'm really happy to hear that you will send it to the children's ministry director...I'm glad it can be used in that way, that makes it all worthwhile! I love doing those kind of desktops, although I know they aren't all that popular...lol!
Thanks so very much again!

Thank you Scott for viewing and commenting on "Rio Douro", the words you left are much appreciated. This is a scanned old 35mm colour slide - my Nikon, although sturdy and reliable, is not digital - and it was not easy to submit because scan often denatures colour and detail. Concerning the image, let me tell you a few words about those pretty boats called "Rabelos": for a couple of centuries up to 1964, the Rabelos were the chief means of transportation Port wine from the Douro Valley to the Port shippers' lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia, opposite Oporto, after which the world famous fortified wine is named. With the growth of cheaper, alternative transport, the ancient Rabelos were abandoned and almost forgotten. In 1983, this all changed when the first Barco (Boat in Portuguese) Rabelo Regatta took place and more boats were build. The annual Barco Rabelo race is part of the annual festival of São João, Oporto's patron saint, on 24 June.
Hope you like the explanation and I'm glad you liked the photo.
BTW, call me António, please.
Cheers

Hi, Scott. Thanks for the comment on Take a Sad Song and Make It Better. No, the song doesn't have anything to do with the picture really, but it makes for a nice title, and just because something doesn't make any sense... well, that never stopped the Beatles. :-)

Thank you so much for commenting on my photo Sailor's dream. It is truly appreciated. And the photo was not taken in the San Juans, but about 300 miles north in the Discovery Islands of Canada. Cortes Island, to be exact. May your day be one of harmony and balance.

Not until the creation and maintenance of decent conditions of life for all men are recognized and accepted as a common obligation of all men . . . shall we . . . be able to speak of mankind as civilized.

Thanks Scott for looking at "The Oceans Watchtower" I am glad you liked the finnished attempt. I know what you meen with the Bird, i think a gull or a sea eagle would be better however, I didn't have either at the time, so an African bird had to do.....lol. I am starting to collect some more bird pictures with my new camera, so here's hoping I catch some for another attempt at this one lol.
hanks Scott for your comments on Les Chaînes. I appreciate them a lot. I am benefiting from that joy too, you are giving me some by your words. Josette

A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!

Thanks for your comment on Masts to the storm, I can see where you're coming from with the black and white feel, I might try it though i feel it will take away the thing I love so much about the sea, it's changing colours.
Lotsa thanks for floating by and checking out Dunajec castle, Scott. I can't say how much I appreciate your visit and your warm lines you left me. I didn’t expect that my image could be so popular. I am so happy to see that so many friends do appreciate my work.
