This probably should go into an ART related thread...but I thought I'd go ahead and place it in offtopics...because this is where the traffic is.
In this game....you simply go into Voting Booth, VOTE.....and then
choose the most interesting 2 artworks you voted on today...and maybe explain what you found interesting about it....and link the work if you can, or at least give the title of the art and the artists.
This gives people OFF our "friend list" some attention, and also encourages us all to help one another daily by VOTING!:)

Most interesting work I saw today/ voted on, was

Forsaken which is a collab work that I think really is very nicely done. I do remember seeing Forsaken before and I like what this artist has done with it.

I also choose a work by our famous and well loved Nathan Smith: and do I even need to explain what I like or find interesting? Hmmm well....I love that he did this with Tierazon. I love that program and though I cannot do anything like he can do with it....it has been much kinder to me than apophysis.:) Nice work both of ya's!

There is only one I saw today which really hit home to me. it was by a new guy, at least new to me. the picture was called "She's Not There" and showed a person sat on her own with a baby on the street as the world passed by oblibious to what was sat there. It made me wonder the times I have past by without looking, not noticing the person who for one reason and another had just blended into the background. It had a very powerful message and this Artist is one who i think will be one to watch in the future. He is called Zorrofox and his work is proving to be stunning.

She is only been posting for a short time and her work is not for everyone's taste, but Petrochellie can do some magnificent stuff. The imagine that struck me today was "Just Another Day on Earth". I believe it puts man into his proper prospective. Her images may not rate high, but the messages they send are usually powerful. I believe she deserves to have more recognition than she is getting. I worry that there may be too many "elitest" that only prefer ONE type of work and don't fairly rate anything outside their specialty.

I chose Scleroderma areolatum by Dehli. It is a excellent macro. This mushrooms are not big. The color and design is perfect.

I also chose Wings of a butterfly by NephilimFern because I think it´s a terrific work. Lovely color and design. I hope some day that I could do something like this.

The second person I want to mention is: orgulho whose upload I ran across in the voting booth Sailboat I find his work to be imaginative and I think he tends to "think outside the box" which I find enjoyable :)PJ

My picks are Inside by kodo34 ... this is a fabulous closeup shot and it is presently very nicely.
And Late Fall by DigiCamMan ... I am a sucker for nice nature/landscape shots. This one is of a lone tree at the bottom of a mountain and is just beautiful in my eyes.

The voting booth presented me with *Pulsatille* by artist Noranda. An exquisite close up of a beautiful soon to bud flower. Excellent details where one can peek inside the bud & see a lovely yellow glow. A marvelous job. The bud is super clear with a lovely blurred background which brings it forward.

I also liked *Slime* by Michael, a 16 yr. old artist NephilimFern.
He presents a bright eyecatching abstract. The image has a liquid, jello like texture feel to it. A brilliant red color with some white areas - it reminds me of peppermint. Excellent lighting and clarity.
Both of these artists did a fantastic job. I'm sorry I can't link yet :(

I found it an imaginative Terragen landscape making a "skyline" of cliffs with lights no less.

Struck me as a likeable desktop. Unusual silhouette against lovely sky.

I saw 007 Shaken and Stirred by HewyMom. A very cool looking capture of a turtle that she & her hubby rescued off a road. The other one that caught my eye was " Play That Funky Music by Jinnuo; a photo of notes on sheet music. Simple but would make a nice desktop for any music lover or musician!

Ok, i've just voted on 25 images! phew!
Anyway, i found some rather spectacular images, so i'm gonna name 3!

1st one: Ring Around The........ A very complicated fractal which makes omgtastic (had to make one better than fantastic/phantasmic :P ) look really bad. He's kinda new around here. (probably not as insane as most of us, but nearing it :P )

2nd one: Mind's Eye. As soon as i saw this i knew it, he had stolen my eye! ahh!!! lol, check it out people, it really is an amazing image.

3rd one: Lovely Gloodle. Well what can i say? Don't laugh at the W.A.F.F!!! lol.

Being fairly new here myself, I think this is a great idea. So I have avoided the obvious and already well known artists, which I think is the point of this thread?

Well I came here to mention Adrift by shedhead, but I see Terri has beaten me to it, so I will just endorse her choice. This one stood out for me - a very dramatic and powerful manipulation.

To me, going in the voting booth is kinda' like going to a movie except you don't know what's playing til it starts...sometimes the show is good, but other times it's fantastic...today was one of those blockbuster days for me...I liked so many of them but here's a couple that I really liked alot:

Cathedral Close Winchester by Trevorcardigan...a wonderful water color of a beautiful building and grounds...really well done

AND

A Patch of Blue in the Morning; Part 1 by Verena...a dramatic, long-range view with magnificent low dense clouds and some great fall colors as well...

A complex piece and flame. Had me staring at it for some time taking in all of its' components and elements.

I have always been a fan of "Digital_Angels" work. She have a special "eye" for photography and can turn "trivial" things into interesting and esthetic forms. If she take a photo of trees it has a Digital_Angels touch and that appears in all her works in my opinion. I cant name any certain images ,I just think she is great and her images always communicate so well.
That girl has the "magic Eye". And she is only 17!!

HERE a New Member I think she is well worth a watch.
