2nd place
A Night at the Opera 2 by biffobear

corngrowth: Congratulations Richie with your 2nd place.

casechaser: As I feel the hair on my neck, I know I should soon see The Barber of Seville. And, though my blood burns through my veins with the movements of Carmen, I think I will just take my seat and and allow myself to be taken with Madama Butterfly.

Beautiful picture, again, Richie.

3rd place
Saginaw Post Office by stylo

Jhihmoac: I've seen this building before...I'm not sure, but I think a famous Midwest architect who was known for this type of Old English-Gothic genre designed it back in the day, along with quite a few other buildings, mostly schools and public institutions...mostly in the Chicago and Detroit Areas... His name however, escapes me @ the moment...

Nice capture...faved...

4th place
A Snowy Night In Northern Ontario by icedancer

Joanie: There's that icky white stuff...lol...But this is beautiful Pat! Great comp and perfect!!!

gizmo1: Ho Pat I see you have the Christmas feeling already with this very nice looking photo and this is fitting for the contest too.The street light looks great against the snowy black background too.

5th place
Ocean Life by Mannie3

Nikoneer: Well it might be a touch fuzzy but, heck, for a low-light hand-held, you did a heckuva job, Richard. As has already been said, those bright colors and their reflections make the shot work. The aquarium, moon and the moon's reflection create a nice triangular diagonal, a traditional and strong element. The pano also accentuates the shape of the structure nicely. It wasn't until I enlarged it and started looking around that I spotted the gondolas swinging about the pier (?) on the left. Nice entry and good luck in the contest.
