cynlee: Get back on that soapbox, Lady! I agree with you about zoos, but I suppose it isn't much different than keeping a cat indoors to keep it from being killed by traffic. It doesn't seem natural all the same. I'd rather see an animal end up in a zoo than in a research lab. Okay, you can have the box back.
These huge mammals are fascinating. Jane Goodall thought so. I like the pose here. Good one for the contest.

Silvanus: Great subject and composition for the contest, Erja, and a breathtaking vista for contemplation! This is a beautiful shot. Sharp and clear, with gorgeous colors. I can imagine myself sitting in that gentleman's spot all day, without tiring of the view.
