A Master of Manipulations, an Ace of the Artistic Morphism, a Wizard of the Warped..... we present to you, the one and only.....pixelpusher and his Exhibit of Tamed Pixels. Be sure to check out his gallery and give him some feedback on his works.

Wow, errr, frankly I'm speechless. To be picked to be in the Artist Spotlight is such an honor...I really mean that, especially from my peers here in the friendly confines of the little berg we call Caedes. There is so much talent here. So many different styles. I change my desktop like I change my socks since I became a member. So thanks to all who've nominated me and have commented on my images. The respect runs both ways and I do appreciate a nod once in a while.

Now, a little bit about myself... I reside in Long Island,N.Y. about 40 miles from the city that never sleeps. I'm married and have two daughters who are now both teenagers (and it's freaking me out). I want them to be little again! In my real life I'm the guy who puts a little gift in your mailbox everyday... the mailman! Anyway, I've always loved art. Not art history which always bored me but really creating something with your hands. The cruel trick was I always kinda sucked at it. I mean sometimes I'd paint or draw something which I thought was good but I wasn't a natural by miles. But I have never stopped, whether it's oils, pencil, or the milk can in the garden. The joke around here goes if I can pick it up, I just might paint something on it.

So... to make a very long boring story as short as possible, about five years ago, in my rapidly advancing age, I decided to go back to college at night. I got my degree in graphic design and, of course, one of the required classes was the almighty Photoshop. You may all rise now. I guess you've detected that I kinda like that program. Boy, have I gone digital. All I do now artistically is ran through Photoshop. It's very addictive.

As you can plainly see, if you ever visit my dusty gallery, I try to look at something from a slightly different perspective. Like the melting baseball in a cone or the "beefcake" tomato muscle mans arm. Making one image from many and blending it seamlessly to create a completley different one is a blast. In fact my friends and family(except my daughter Shannon who's a ham) don't want me to take their pictures anymore...they might end up with horns and a tail! I can't tell you about the X-rated christmas card a friend of mine wants me to do for him every year. Hey, sometimes Photoshop drags me into the seedy corners, but always with a smile. So thanks again for recognizing my artwork. I am truly humbled. Thank you Caedes.net for letting me express myself. :-0
