0930_23: I love how they named their planes and had artwork to match Bob.
They were long range heavy bombers.
I do like the treatment on this beauty.

2nd place
Nekromanteion by Vickid

corngrowth: Vicki, by reading your narrative, I like to say that, because of the difficult lighting conditions, to me you've achieved the best possible result, so there's nothing wrong with your photographic skills and camera!

Very interesting post (both image and narrative) and a good contender for the current contest as well.

If you would decide that this will be your entry, I wish you Good Luck with it.

PS: I'm still laughing by the first lines of John's hilarious comment above!

WTFlack: Many Congratulations on third place.

mesmerized: Wonderful color and texture and great subject matter in this nostalgic old building...nice to hear it's still in use when so often they tear down the old buildings of this nature.

4th place
Window by Dunstickin

Ramad: Congrats on your 4th place Bob.

bfrank: Very inspiring and I can imagine how awesome it is with different angles of light beaming through. Great capture Bob.

0930_23: Congrats on your 4th place finish in the contest Owd Timer. I thought it might finish higher.

5th place
Dewey Defeats Truman by 0930_23

Dunstickin: Nice one getting fifth mate...I thought this would get higher, and did vote on it.

Nikoneer: A classic of political history, here in America, but this is a version Ive never seen before, instead always seeing the one in which Truman is at a large venue, holding the newspaper over his head. Then, reading your post, I understand why Ive never seen it. A terrific recreation and so lucky for you to be there at the right time.
